Do you agree?

Men love women who they can build up, but women love men who are already established. Reading some articles on different blogs about why rappers choose to date hoes, skanks, and strippers, led me to ask this question. In my strong opinion, it seems established men (men with money) choose women who has little or none to her own, but an established women prefer a man who has what she has or more.

What's a "Real" Model: Fashion to Urban

Here we have fashion model Tyra Banks and urban Model Bria Myles, both ladies are in a two piece swimsuit; who looks more appealing to you? It's a strong possibility that Trya got paid thousands to do her shoot and Bria, well, maybe $500 (if that) and a free lunch. However, both ladies are considered models, but often times urban models are not considered "real models', why is that?

Do you always have to have your parents back??

Real talk, not every parent do right by their children. But often if the child turns around and not do right by their parent(s) (becuase of their parents' actions towards them), why do people say "well, that's your mom/dad". Example, a friend of mine dad's rarely talks to her. He doesn't call her for birthdays, holidays etc, however when he does call, it's pretty much to "borrow" some money and he will tell her "well I am your father". Should she be entitled to lend him money just because he's her father, though he doesn't care to be fully in her life?

The Hate on HBCU's...

Recently I was speaking with someone who attends a "white college". I went to an HBCU, keep in mind. The person kept talking how challenging and time consuming her classes/projects are. Then she made a remark that she should have went to an HBCU, as if saying they are a lot easier. She even said that I probably didn't have to worry as much as she did because I went to an HBCU. Hold up! College is college, everyone is going to face the same issues regardless of what university they attend. I truly understand that one school may have a better program in a particular field than others, etc...but don't think that because you are a black student at a "white college", that you are more knowledgeable than someone who goes to an HBCU. How you use your degree is what matter. Get out of the mind frame.

Single Life in the Atl

I'm in my late 20s and been living in Atlanta for some years now. I moved here at 23. It was a new city, new life, and I just knew I was going to find a man of my dreams here. WRONG! I don't know what the fascination is with being in the entertainment industry is, but it seems everyone wants to be connected one way or another. Every dude is a rapper and every chick is a model. Is this an Atl thing or an every where thing. I don't knock anyone goals/dreams but come the fuck on. It seem that everyone is living a fake lifestyle. I've dated some professionals, but they were always older. They weren't looking to get married, they were just happy to say that they are dating a 20 something year old SMH, but it was the truth. Hmm, maybe I should move to Rural Town, USA.
